#4: The 30 gig Zen Vision: M has an MSRP of $299, which is basically identical to the MSRP of the 30 gig iPod with video. From what I've seen, there doesn't seem to be a huge price difference between the Nanos and some of Creative's Flash-based players (although it seems like retailers have to discount the prices of the Creative players quite a bit more). So why is one price "great" and the other is "exorbitant" [sic], as you put it? As far as pricing out a 60 gig iPod AND a skin, dock and some speakers, what kind of comparison is that? If you bought a case for your Creative player and some speakers for it, the price would be the same (granted, there aren't nearly as many case options and speaker options for the Creative players, but there's still some). I'm not sure what your point was there; any mp3 player + case + speakers (a dock seems purely optional to me) is going to be pricey.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
