Xplore adds EV-DO to their iX104 Tablet PC
Xplore is continuing its shady product naming and ruggedized Tablet PC design ways with a new EV-DO equipped
iX104 model in the works. We just spied it at the FCC site, so no word on availability, but we're sticking with our
story yesterday that
the industry and military targeted iX104 probably doesn't go cheap, double true with EV-DO.

It is rugged, but I see the holes there: is it water proof?

The link to yesterday's story seems to be broken.

To bad I've opened mine up already and added an evdo pcmcia card to it. Cool anyways, I guess.

I am waiting for a non-ruggedized, yet powerful under the hood, big and bright screen, dual core chip, tablet PC with EVDO to come out. When will this be? Be nice for the IBM X-series to come out with one that is much larger than the current series and has EVDO.

The Xplore tablets are some of the most popular rugged Tablet PC on the market. The new iX104C4 has a HIGH Bright screen technology that is amazing in sunlight compared to the C2 and C3.
